What is a Foot Health Practitioner?

As a Foot Health Practitioner Lea delivers routine foot care wherever it is needed. She is trained to recognise and assess foot conditions, treat appropriately and refer when necessary. Many people need simple foot care to maintain mobility and quality of life.

Lea works as an independent practitioner and delivers her skills in a wide range of settings. She also works with other health care professionals wherever necessary for the well-being of their patients.

Lea will visit individual patients in their own homes, attend clients in Rest Homes and Nursing Homes, or visit industrial and commercial sites for the benefit of employees.

Lea is a member of the Accredited Register of Foot Health practitioners, with The Alliance of Private Sector Practitioners. Her registration number is AR9201.
As a Foot Health Practitioner Lea brings to you the modern professional way to care for common conditions of the feet and legs. 

From simple toe nail cutting to other conditions such as:
Surgical pedicures - diabetic foot care - nail trims - fungal nails - hard callus skin - painful feet - thickened & ingrown nails - cracked heels & fissures - Bunions - corns - verrucae - athletes foot - metatarsalgia (ball of foot pain) - plantar faciitis (heel pain) & achilles tendinitis - shin splints - toe nail reconstruction for missing or partial nails.
Lea supplies & fits the ICB heat moulded orthotics  as well as offering therapeutic paraffin wax heat therapy treatments, benefiting those suffering from arthritis & rheumatic pain, as well as a deep moisturising treatment for very dry skin conditions.

Hopi Ear Candling

This is a gentle therapy to relieve and soothe the ear.  The treatment has been shown to help sufferers of sinus problems, headaches, stress and waxy ears.
The candles are hollow and once lit have a light suction/chimney effect on the ear. The treatment involves a head, facial and ear massage too which will help you to relax but also may help loosen any mucus/wax within the sinuses or ears.
£30 for this 45 minute treatment

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is an ancient practice dating back thousands of years, and involves the use of flat, heated stones (basalt stones) that are used on key places across your body to aid energy flow and balance the body and mind.
Enjoy this relaxing, stress-busting massage with Lea as she uses a combination of gentle oils and natural stones warmed to ease muscle pain and tension whilst promoting mind and body well-being.
£35 for upper body massage - 45 minutes

Himalayan Salt Hot Rocks Massage

Indian Head Massage

An Indian Head Massage focuses on your head, neck, shoulders and arms.  It is a deep massage using a variety of pressure & techniques, including circular massage stroke on your scalp and deep tissue work on your shoulders.
£30 for a 45 minute treatment.​

Swedish Massage

A Swedish Massage is a classic massage which involves the therapist using a range of pressure with kneading, stroking and rubbing movements across the body.  The pressure will vary depending on the area being worked on.
Swedish Massage is ideal for -

Acu-Sound Therapy

Acu-Sound Therapy is non-invasive holistic treatment that uses musical tuning forks to re-align and balance the body's natural energy fields and helps clear energetic blockages.

The forks are used on specific acupressure points throughout the body. Sound created by the forks, both audible and vibrational can locate and resolve energetic disharmony.
​Acu-Sound Therapy supports self healing and is an excellent companion to other holistic treatments.

Naval Candling

Navel Candling is a luxury treatment specifically for women. Through massage, a masque, warm oils and candling this relaxing treatment increases circulation, dispels toxins and aids digestion.

Colour Therapy

Colour Therapy is a non-invasive holistic treatment which aims to bring balance to the energy of our body. Colour is an important part of any healing process as light moves in waves and each colour on the spectrum has different wavelengths. 
£35 for this hour long treatment.

Crystal Healing

Crystal healing therapy involves placing crystals and gemstones on to the body to draw out negative energy. Crystal healing is an alternative medical technique in which crystals and other stones are used to cure ailments and protect against disease.

By balancing the energy body and removing energy blocks, crystal healing helps with healing a number of ailments, issues and problems in life like chronic pains and illnesses, trauma, stress, anxiety, tension, depression and more. It also helps in healing various emotional and psycho-spiritual issues.

£40 for this hour long therapy or add Crystal Healing to any of the above treatments for an extra £10 per hour to give a wonderful combination therapy.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a wonderful massage technique which can help aid people to eliminate wastes and toxins, encourage weight loss and help to reduce cellulite.  

​The lymphatic system is one of the main elimination channels in the body.  The others are the skin, lungs, kidneys, and bowels.  It is a major factor in the absorption of nutrients from digestion into the tissues and it is also how the body removes its metabolic wastes. 

The lymphatic system clears toxins, unwanted proteins, and waste which cannot be removed by any other means.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapy that uses the feet as a mirror of the whole body, from head to toe. When certain parts of the feet are manipulated and pressure is applied, the whole body can be brought into balance.
​The points on the feet, hands and ears correspond with systems, organs and structures in the body. These points are called ‘reflexes’ and when stimulated, bring about a response in another area of the body. By using specific pressure techniques to stimulate the reflexes on the feet, imbalances in the organs, tissues and systems of the body can be detected and effectively treated to restore the body to balance and good health. ​

£45 for this hour long therapy.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful method of healing that works on all levels - physical, mental and spiritual.  This form of alternative medicine called energy healing releases blocked energies, cleanses toxins and helps to return your whole being to a state of balance.

Lea will use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy"  will be transferred wherever it is needed most to encourage emotional and physical healing.

Lomilomi Massage

Lomilomi massage is a Polynesian and Hawaiian healing practice, and is both a physical form of bodywork, and a spiritual form which has been handed down through generations by way of sounds, chants and movement.
 
Lomilomi means “Loving hands” it helps release energy blockages, whilst at the same time giving the energy new direction.
 
It is not just a physical experience, it also facilitates a mental, emotional and on a spiritual level. A Lomilomi practitioner(Giver), views each person as a being to be assisted in returning to harmony and balance. It is important to remember that the practitioner does not heal, but is the facilitator for the healing and creating a safe space for the healing to occur.
 
By emphasising the mind-body connection, Lomilomi practitioners add an element that takes the massage to another level, as Lomilomi is infused with” Mana” (the power that comes from within). The goal or the objective is to rid the body of negative energy including tension, metabolic waste and even injury, and allow it to find a better more harmonic state.
 
Lomilomi Hawaiian massage isn’t for the shy, although draping is minimal, you can be assured that all intimate areas are covered. You will be offered disposable underwear or you can choose to wear your own, but they will be covered in oil.

As with all massage treatments there are some contraindications to having massage if you have certain health conditions and may need a doctors note to have treatments. A full consultation will always be given before treatment but please ask before booking what these are. 
 
Spa style Hawaiian Lomilomi massage – £50 1 hour.
This is a shorter duration of the full spiritual Lomilomi massage. I will use endless amounts of warm coconut oil or a nut free alternative oil can be used, all over the body, but rest assured that modesty is always protected by using draping’s on the intimate areas of the body, so you can relax during your treatment.
Lomilomi sacred ritual massage- £70 1hr 30 mins.
This temple style Lomilomi massage will enable you (client) to connect with the breath for a deeper inner healing. I will also used bodywork, bone washing and Laulima (energy work). This is a deeply spiritual and nurturing massage. Using long sweeping, flowing wave like massage strokes  over the entire body. Other massage strokes and movements will also be used such as using hands, fists fingers and quick moving forearm strokes, I will be using endless amounts of warm coconut oil or a nut free alternative oil.
 
Your modesty is protected using drapes or sarongs to cover intimate areas of the body,  and you will be offered disposable underwear or you can choose to wear your own if you prefer, but they will be covered in oil.
 
This is a truly relaxing and enlightening sacred massage which will leave you feeling totally relaxed and lighter. It has a very calming effect which will help with fear, worry and anxiety as well as other negative emotions.

Combination Treatment
