This massage is completely holistic as it exists to heal a person physically, emotionally and spiritually. Thai massage, like all other forms of massage increases blood and lymph circulation and helps to remove toxins. However unlike other forms of massage Thai massage does not leave a person feeling tired, it is very much the opposite in that a person feels quite revitalised and yet grounded.

Thai Herbal Compress Massage
The healing practice of Thai herbal compress therapy dates back nearly 5,000 years, when the knowledge of plants, including their effects through ingestion or application on the body, were painstakingly researched and then passed down from one generation to the next.
This deeply effective herbal therapy was designed originally to relieve pain and inflammation. A selection of therapeutic herbs, including prai, ginger, turmeric and lemongrass, are wrapped in a muslin compress, warmed and steamed before being applied to the body in gentle pressing, circular and rolling movements. The combination and blend of herbs are renowned for their ability to relieve tension and inflammation whilst detoxifying the body in order to soothe away general aches and pains.
This deeply therapeutic massage has been refined through the years and now combines some of our more Eastern Massage techniques with a gentle but effective massage where the therapist uses light pressure, rolling and kneading to ensure the oils and herbs are carried deep in to the skin. With the combination of heat and massage comes a sense of comfort and warmth and with this the body starts to detoxify and heal itself.
